Problem

In this modern age, we tend to do all activities through technology. One example is when we want to order food; in the past, we had to go to a restaurant to buy food. But nowadays, we just need to open an app and press a few buttons, and then the food we order will be delivered to our homes.

In short, we now live in an era of instant everything. As we enter this era of instant everything, we must adapt to using technology in everything we do, including in the education system. Most people who want to learn will prefer to search through the internet rather than books because they can directly enter keywords. The KBBI Super App aims to facilitate the public so they no longer need to read the large and very thick KBBI book, which would be very inconvenient to carry around.

What is the KBBI Super App?

The KBBI Super App is a dictionary application with additional features to facilitate and provide an engaging experience. This app offers various features, such as a dictionary, searching for standard or non-standard words. Additionally, the app also provides a "Word of the Day" feature, aimed at expanding users' vocabulary in Indonesian. To provide a more engaging experience, we have added a game called "Katla." It's a fun word-guessing game that can provide insights to our app users.

User Descriptions

User #1: William

William is a 20-year-old college student who often reads news and articles on the internet. However, sometimes he struggles to understand terms that he rarely hears. With the KBBI Super App, William is able to search for definitions of unfamiliar words, allowing him to understand the context of the articles he reads on the internet.

User #2: Dania

Dania is a high school student who loves Indonesian literature. She enjoys delving into things related to Indonesian literature, and she always carries a KBBI book to expand her knowledge. However, one day, she felt that carrying a large-sized book was very impractical. With this application, the super large-sized KBBI book can be accessed conveniently through her mobile device.

User #3: Cahya

Cahya is a student majoring in Visual Communication Design. He often creates posters using the Indonesian language. However, his vocabulary knowledge is still lacking. This application can help Cahya expand his Indonesian vocabulary through the dictionary feature, which provides various Indonesian words.

User #4: Arya

Arya is a student who is currently working on his thesis. He was using a KBBI application made by another developer. However, he found that the application was not being updated. Then Arya discovered the KBBI Super App, which receives regular updates. With the KBBI Super App, he can access the latest data of Indonesian vocabulary.

User #5: Taupik

Taupik is a secretary at a company. Every day, he deals with correspondence. Sometimes, he's confused about standard and non-standard words in writing letters. Then Taupik discovered this KBBI Super App. Now he no longer struggles with writing standard words for correspondence purposes.

Use Case

To find out what functions exist and who is entitled to use the functions available in our prototype, we have created a Use Case Diagram to describe the interaction between actors and the system we are going to build.
